A North Carolina father got fed up with kids bullying his son on the school bus so he decided to take matters into hs own hands.
Kids had been picking on Chris Eichele’s son Josh for a while, and Chris had made several complaints to the school but was unhappy with the results or lack thereof that his efforts produced. After speaking to administrators at the Harnett County School he became frustrated because they were seemingly unable to bring the bullying to an end. According to Eichele, he was simply told “We’ll take care of it” when he brought the issues up to the school’s faculty members.
Eichele says that Josh was subjected to verbal and physical abuse. The worst incident occurred when a student smeared hand sanitizer in the child’s eyes during an altercation on the bus. Fed up with the abusive behavior that was taking place before and after school Chris Eichele stepped onto his son’s school bus and gave the bus driver a piece of his mind. He told every student present on the bus, “If anyone messes with Josh, they’ll be dealing with me personally.”
Police later stepped in, arrested Eichele and charged him with two misdemeanors: impeding a bus and communicating threats.
Eichele posted the following video onto youtube to give his side of the story.
I personally can’t blame this man for protecting his child. There is only so much a parent can take. If your child is being bullied and looks to you for protection, what can you do? I applaud Mr. Eichele for stepping in and putting these kids in their place. The other adults in the situation should be ashamed of themselves for even letting it get to this point. We live in a time where children are committing suicide because they can’t cope with the bullying that takes place. More parents should be like this man and take a stand for their children, because its obvious that many of the adults in the school system aren’t willing to.
